The eighth generation of the Chevrolet Corvette had gone for quite a while without major engine modifications due to an encrypted ECU, but Hennessey Performance still managed to bolster its power and torque figures while giving it a visual overhaul.
The output went up from 497 PS (490 hp / 366 kW) to 718 PS (708 hp / 528 kW), while the peak torque rose from 624 to 865 Nm (from 460 to 638 lb-ft). Contributing to the increase are a centrifugal supercharger, a custom air intake and an air-to-water intercooler.
The whole package will set you back $49,950. Aside from the performance upgrade, it includes a sports exhaust system and custom wheels sized 19” front and 20” rear. There are three available finishes for the wheels – satin black, graphite and aluminum – and you also get a sticker set with this purchase.
Should you just want the raw performance minus the cosmetics, set aside $34,950. The kit can be found listed as the H700 on the Hennessey website.
