Video: Hennessey-tuned vs. Stock C8 Corvette

The latest rumors suggest that Chevrolet will not be producing any turbocharged C8 Corvette versions. Hennessey is your go-to tuning company if you want forced induction, though, and this video clearly demonstrates the difference between the stock and the tuned car.

The H700 tuning kit drives the output of the stock 6.2-liter V8 to 718 PS (708 hp / 528 kW) and 865 Nm (638 lb-ft) of torque. It includes a new exhaust system, an upgrade intercooler and staggered wheels – a 19-inch pair at the front end and a 20-inch one at the rear. The whole costs U.S. $34,950.

In contrast, the stock car makes ‘just’ 502 PS (495 hp / 369 kW) and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft) of torque. Needless, the video isn’t here to see which one goes faster – that much is abundantly clear. The point is to see just how big of a difference a tune-up like this one can make.
