Chevrolet has shared the first image of its next unified-body pickup truck for Latin American countries: the Montana. Motor1 believes the novelty will be related to the marque’s recent SUVs, the Seeker and the Tracker, which excludes AWD. Sales will begin in early 2023.
Judging by the pic, the exterior is styled in the same vein as the Seeker for China. Similarities extend as far as the two-tier headlights, bulging hood and radiator grille. The aerodynamic performance promises to be class-leading.
Photos of a cladded prototype from a while ago reveal what looks like a rather short and deep truck bed, striking a balance between capacity and drag. Chevrolet is marketing the Montana as a comfortable and spacious truck for urban dwellers, comparable to a light passenger car in utility.
The powertrains will largely consist of three-cylinder petrol options. For instance, the Chevrolet Tracker for China ships with a 1.0-liter engine mated with a DCT gearbox for 115 PS (113 hp / 86 kW).
