The blackout trend has spread so far, it now applies to low-end utility vehicles: Citroen has just introduced the Berlingo Edition Noir.
The first market where the special series will be available is Japan, where French cars like this one tend to gather their own fan followings. Compared to the stock Berlingo, the Edition Noir boasts an all-black exterior trim scheme complemented with black wheels, a matching interior finish and premium options included in the base spec. Even the panoramic roof is standard.
Choosing the drivetrain is not an option, either, as the limited edition invariably comes equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo diesel rated at 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW) and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Prices in Japan start from the equivalent of U.S. $31,500.
