The first-gen Dacia Duster wouldn’t have been nearly as popular if it hadn’t cost as little as €10,000 in Europe. Rewind to early 2025, and a dealership in Germany is offering a maxed-out Duster for a ridiculous heap of money.
Carpoint calls the build “Dacia Duster RS” in an obvious nod to Renault Sport, but insists that it means “Redust Sport”. The SUV rides on expensive new 20-inch alloys, has KW coilovers in the suspension, wears an aggressive aero kit and loses its roof rails for extra fashion points. It comes wrapped in bright orange vinyl with gloss-black accents for contrast.
The interior is every bit as snazzy with orange accents and stitching, RGB LED lighting all around and other bells and whistles you’d expect in a really cheap car trying too hard. The powertrain is stock, which in case of the latest Duster means either 130 or 140 hybrid PS heading for the two wheels (or all four, if you pay the premium for the AWD).
Prices start from €42,490 for the mild-hybrid Redust Sport and from €52,990 for its rechargeable counterpart. That’s impressively bold, considering that even the OEM Duster Extreme spec costs about €22,000 less in Germany.
So, how much Duster is too much Duster for you?
