Back to the Future time machine replica goes on sale in the USA

A DeLorean DMC-12 painstakingly stylized after the time travel car from the movie ‘Back to the Future’ will soon go on sale in the United States with Christopher Lloyd’s autograph on its body. Lloyd played Doc Emmett Brown in the franchise.

The car in question is a homegrown replica that hasn’t appeared in any of the movies. Nonetheless, the attention to detail is staggering. There are even neon lights all around and a smoke generator for extra style points.

The winning bidder will be getting sets of replacement parts with which they will be able to retrofit their DeLorean to look like its counterparts from all three movies. A copy of Greys Sports Almanac is also included.

Power for the retro coupe comes from its stock 2.8-liter engine sending 130 PS (128 hp / 96 kW) to the wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The interior is said to be in pristine condition.
