Dodge Challenger Super Stock gets boosted past all limits of decency

If you can leave good enough alone and feel just fine afterwards, don’t bother checking what Hennessey Performance did to this 807-HP Dodge Challenger Super Stock.

The tuner team used its HPE1000 package to endow the exclusive ride with 200+ more horses, driving the total to 1,026 PS (1,012 hp / 755 kW) and 1,314 Nm (969 lb-ft) of torque. When measured on the dyno, around 821 PS (810 hp / 604 kW) and 992 Nm (732 lb-ft) actually made it through to the wheels.

In case you didn’t know, Dodge decided to launch Super Stock versions of its popular Challenger SRT Hellcat and Demon models last fall. Improvements over the stock model included sports suspension with adaptive shocks, revised gear ratios, Brembo brakes, 18-inch wheels wrapped in radial Nitto rubber, and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. Even in its stock form, the limited-issue muscle car needs 3.25 seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) and zaps through a quarter-mile strip in 10.5 seconds.
