Faraday Future’s electric SUV passes range test better than Tesla Model X

The Faraday Future FF91 has been EPA-rated for 613 km (381 miles) of range, surpassing the impressive result of its main rival, the Tesla Model X.

According to Faraday Future, the high mileage is owing to the exceptional quality of the powertrain, which accumulates power during regenerative braking and converts it with utmost efficiency, avoiding losses.

In addition to this, the car comes equipped with a huge 130-kWh traction battery. In fact, it is nearly 30% larger than the Model X battery, while the range difference between the two cars is under 10%.

The FF91 needs 2.4 seconds to sprint from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) thanks to its powertrain churning out 1,065 PS (1,050 hp / 783 kW). The production is set to start before the end of the year.
