Überblick
Ferrari has reported intentions to reveal 15 facelifted and brand-new cars within the next five years, emphasizing that the Portofino and Roma models would not be getting hybrid powertrains.
Representatives of the Italian supercar marque revealed this information during a special event dedicated to the Roma coupe. They said neither of the two models was ever designed for future electrification. The successor to the F8 Tributo, on the other hand, will definitely go hybrid.
As for the Portofino, the mid-life refresh it is going to get soon will keep the current design, but bolster the engine output to match Roma’s. Specifically, the 3.9-liter V8 mill will be getting an additional 20 hp (15 kW) for 620 hp (462 kW) total. A new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission will be coming to replace the old seven-speed one, too.
