Check out an ex-F1-driver’s ride for sale

Car&Classic will be selling a 1972 Fiat 500 Jolly ‘Evocation’ soon that currently belongs to Lando Norris, once a Formula 1 driver for the McLaren team.

Reportedly, the driver paid his own money for this Jolly replica – not because he couldn’t persuade the sponsors, but because it was his first car in life. With 36,500 km (22,680 miles) on the odometer, it is said to be in good condition despite the age.

Fiat has collaborated with tuning company Ghia to produce 650 Jolly hatchbacks based on the Fiat 500 chassis. The original model lost its roof and doors and received wicker seats for relaxed beach tours. It proved a sales hit and spawned a number of replicas and imitations – the one on sale isn’t original, either.
