Fiat fan buys his 55th car

Fiat has told a story about a man you might call the Italian car brand’s most devoted fan in history.

David Franklin, 84, from the UK, bought his first Fiat 59 years ago. It was a 500D model priced at just £399 back in the era. Franklin worked in a Fiat dealership and a local department of the automaking company, occasionally taking part in test drives and motorsport events. Throughout all these years, he and his wife Michela Franklin have driven exclusively Fiat and Lancia cars, having put over 600,000 miles (966,000 kilometers) behind them.

The happy couple’s latest acquisition – a brand-new electric Fiat 500 e – is their 55th Fiat in life. Watch the video for a brief overview of the model.
