Ford Bronco Filson Wildland Fire Rig goes firefighting in U.S. forests

On the off-chance that you are not tired of reading about the countless new Bronco editions, here’s another one that will be dousing the flames throughout the forests of North America.

Called the Bronco Filson Wildland Fire Rig, the model continues the tradition set by the old-gen Bronco Forest Service Green. Co-designed with clothing designer Filson, it sports the corresponding badges and trimming materials throughout. The Wildland Fire Department will be getting a few cars for free, the companies report.

From the technical point of view, the car is a Badlands Bronco outfitted with the entire Sasquatch package, including 35-inch tires, black 17-inch wheels with beadlock protection, diff locks, raised clearance, Bilstein shocks, and fender extensions.

The list also mentions a stainless-steel bumper, ceramic rim coating, a winch, a beacon, a roof rack, some auxiliary LED lights and specialized firefighting equipment, of course.
