Shelby American has introduced a new Ford-based project, but it’s not a Mustang that got the attention this time around.
The new Shelby F-150 runs on the F-150 Raptor R truck platform. Even in its stock form, it’s supremely capable with 730 PS (720 hp / 537 kW) and 868 Nm (640 lb-ft) of torque heading for the wheels.
The tuning company takes things further by replacing the stock supercharger of the 5.2-liter Coyote V8 with a custom fifth-generation Whipple unit. It also upgrades intake, exhaust and cooling components to match the new output of 796 PS (785 hp / 585 kW).
On the exterior side of things, the Shelby truck has a new hood, bumpers, black trim bits all around and the tuner’s trademark cobra badges.
Only 800 units will be made and sold starting from $140,000.
