6th-gen Ford Mustang left production earlier this month, reports say

The new Ford Mustang was revealed in September 2022, but the live sales are only expected to begin this summer. Until recently, Ford had continued to assemble the old, sixth, generation at its Flat Rock factory in Michigan, USA.

Per Motor Trend, the production came to an end on April 6. The last car was allegedly finished in Oxford White Premium and powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-pot.

The sixth design iteration of the ‘Stang came out in December 2013, reached the assembly lines in August 2014 and arrived in the showrooms as a year 2015 model. For the first time in the history of this iconic muscle car, it officially became available outside of the North American continent.

Aside from the EcoBoost mill mentioned above, both the coupe and the convertible also shipped with a 5.0-liter V8 option. There was also a couple of performance editions powered by a 5.2-liter V8. The Shelby GT350 went naturally aspirated, while the Shelby GT500 opted for a mechanical supercharger.
