The Geely Galaxy E8 complements the Chinese automaker’s electrified vehicle lineup as its first all-electric sedan. The domestic sales will begin before the end of the year.
The previous entries in the Galaxy lineup – the L6 sedan and L7 SUV – are both hybrids with no all-electric powertrain option. As for the new E8, it may look like a liftback from the side, but is actually a sedan. It is 5,100 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,465 mm tall with 2,945 mm of wheelbase.
Inside, a 45-inch dash display is the most immediately noticeable part. The steering wheel comes in two variants – traditional and yoke-shaped – but which one you get depends on your chosen trim level.
Only one powertrain option has been announced so far: a single e-motor rated at 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW). The driving range is estimated at 665 km (413 miles) according to the latest Chinese EV range standard.
