Great Wall reveals a trio of new Tanks

Great Wall Motor Company has come up with three new off-roaders for its budding Tank sub-brand: the Cybertank, the Tank 700, and the Tank 800. We covered the Cybertank a few days ago, so let’s concentrate at the two other concepts instead.

The Tank 700 is a compact-sized car designed in a similar vein to most other classical off-road vehicles. It sports LED headlights, plenty of sharp edges, a virtually flat windshield, water grooves, and a tailgate mounted on external hinges.

The Tank 800 is markedly different from its smaller cousin and looks more like a Mercedes-Maybach GLS than anything. It is a large body-on-frame SUV with a bi-color body spanning over five meters long. The company promises to ship it with a three-liter turbocharged engine rated at 354 PS (349 hp / 260 kW), as well as a nine-speed automatic transmission and a very spacious cabin.

Both models are scheduled to hit production next year.
