Haval has posted the official photos of its two upcoming production cars, provisionally named the A07 and B07. AutoHome.cn adds that the company has already submitted the relevant certification info, allowing us to take a look at the specifications ahead of the launch.
The Haval A07 may get the production name ‘Ruge’, but it remains unofficial. It is stated to be 4,600 mm long, 1,877 mm wide and 1,675 mm tall with 2,710 mm between the axles. On the outside, the most unusual feature is probably the headlights, which are T-shaped with what looks like vertical headlamps and horizontal DRLs. There is also no traditional radiator grille – just an air intake in the front bumper.
According to the patent filings, the car is powered by a 100-hp (75-kW) hybrid system based on 1.5-liter petrol engine. Whether the engine is merely a range extender or actually connected to the wheels remains to be seen.
The other SUV is reportedly called ‘Ruge Max’ and is larger at 4,758 long with 2,800 mm between the axles. The wheelbase is as long as that of the marque’s current flagship SUV, the Haval H9.
The Ruge Max appears to be basd on the same architecture as the Ruge, but with a different appearance. It has a bezel-free front grille, as well as unusual headlights and front bumper. The shots reveal two possible bumper designs, which could be optional or tied to their respective powertrains. The spec sheet mentions two hybrid powertrains based on the same 1.5-liter petrol engine, but fails to go into any further detail.
It is still unknown when the new Haval SUV duo may debut. Since the official teasers have already come out, we would say the Auto Shanghai show coming up in April is a good enough bet.
