Hozon Auto has started the domestic sales of its mid-size electric SUV, the Neta X. Customers can choose from four trim levels priced from 126,800 to 146,800, ChinaPEV reports.
Rather than being a standalone model, the car is essentially an improved and renamed Neta U from three years ago. It has a completely different front end and a seriously reworked interior. The dimensions (LW/H) are quoted as 4,619 x 1,860 x 1,628 millimeters, and the wheelbase spans 2,770 mm. The trunk size of 508 liters expands to 1,388 liters with the seats folded.
The automaker points out that 80 percent of the cabin is trimmed with soft-touch materials. The dashboard houses an 8.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch head unit. Hardware buttons are nowhere in sight, and there are no separate HVAC controls, either. The center console houses cup holders, a couple of pockets for miscellaneous items and a wireless charging pad.
The only electric motor available drives the front wheels with 163 PS (161 hp / 120 kW) and 210 Nm (155 lb-ft) of torque. The car hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.5 seconds and maxes out at 150 km/h (93 mph). Batteries come in two sizes – 51.8 and 62 kilowatt-hours. The former yields 401 km (249 miles) of CLTC-rated driving range and the latter gives 501 km (311 miles).
