Car Show

Watched this Elantra N TCR reveal clip yesterday? Found the Easter egg yet?

Hyundai South Korea has shared a video dedicated to the Elantra N TCR racecar it revealed yesterday. If you look closely, you will notice something unusual.

As the video ends, the final scene shows garage doors opening and a disguised car coming out – but it is not the same as the freshly unveiled racer. Instead, it is a road-legal, mass-production Elantra N.

You can just about discern its radiator grille, which looks identical to that of the Elantra N Line. However, the trunk lid spoiler and the exhaust finishers both testify that this is not the regular N Line, but a full-fledged N sports car. In fact, we have seen the same features on a test vehicle spied recently.

The Elantra N will reach the market powered by the 2.0-liter turbo-four engine of the Hyundai i30. An eight-speed automated manual transmission will send up to 280 hp (209 kW) to the wheels, although buyers will be able to opt for six-speed manual as well.
