Hyundai unveiled a concept car named the N Vision 74 last summer, dedicating it to the iconic 1974 Pony Coupe. Rumors cropped up not long ago that the prototype would become a production car on May 27; these have now been debunked.
The original article was posted by Money Today. Another publication, Wikitree, reached out to Hyundai for clarification and the automaker officially denied working on a mass-market car based on that concept. Furthermore, the company stated that the N Vision 74 would forever remain a one-off design study.
At the same time, Hyundai confirmed that it was still planning to bring back the 1974 Pony Coupe – just with a different platform at its base.
The automaker’s nearest premiere is that of the Ioniq 5 N, a high-performance SUV officially set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this summer.
