AMG-engined Isdera 036i goes on sale
An exceedingly rare Isdera 036i Spyder will soon cross the auction block in France.
It is believed that only 14 such vehicles were made in total, with this being #2 in the batch. It debuted at the 1989 Geneva International Motor Show packing a 3.0-liter Mercedes-Benz inline-six engine rated at 217 PS (214 hp / 160 kW).
In 2011, the car made it back to the manufacturer, where it was retrofitted with fender flares, new wheels, Recaro seats and an extended blue leather trim. Perhaps most importantly, the owner ordered it swapped to a superior 3.6-liter AMG engine capable of 276 PS (272 hp / 203 kW).
Price estimates revolve around €250,000.
