Video: BMW X3 M Comp vs. Jeep Trackhawk vs. AMG GLC 63

The YouTube team of Sam CarLegion has put up a drag race between three performance SUVs competing with each other – a BMW X3 M Competition, a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and a Mercedes-AMG GLC 63.

Let’s run the numbers first. The Bavarian soft-roader has 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal, coming from a 3.0-liter inline-six twin-turbo engine. An eight-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels, and the car weighs in at 2,084 kg (4,595 lbs).

The Jeep Trackhawk packs a larger 6.2-liter V8 boosted to 717 PS (707 hp / 527 kW) and 875 Nm (645 lb-ft) of torque. It is the heaviest of the bunch with 2,422 kg (5,340 lbs).

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S Coupe also has eight cylinder like the Trackhawk, but the displacement is much smaller at just four liters. It produces 510 PS (503 hp / 375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) and weighs 2,081 kg (4,588 lbs). Like the competition, it has AWD.

The results turned out so controversial and unexpected that you would probably be better off watching the races yourself.
