Jetour X70 gets an update in China

Jetour, a brand owned by Chery Automobile, has unveiled the X70 facelift in China. Only the Plus and the Zhuge trims were changed.

Compared to the pre-facelift Plus version (see video), the new car has vertical radiator grille bars instead of horizontal. The LED headlights preserve their own casings, but get new lights. The starting wheel size is now 18 inches instead of 17, and customers can choose from a number of new alloy rim designs. A few previously unavailable exterior finishes are also now available.

Inside, the dashboard and the seats were slightly redesigned. New, powerful infotainment hardware was installed and the UI improved thanks to moving to the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen3 architecture.

Paid extras include door opening alert, ACC, a see-through hood, parking assistance, a built-in dashcam, ventilated front seats, and air ionization.

For the engine, you can settle for a 1.5L turbo with 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW), go for a larger 1.6L turbo with 197 PS (194 hp / 144 kW), or opt for the flagship 2.0L mill capable of 254 PS (250 hp / 186 kW). Only the entry-level engine supports manual transmission, while the main gearbox type is preselector DCT. The drive is always on the front axle with no other options.

The X70 Zhuge has always been the most luxurious trim on offer, so it stays unchanged aside form the hardware and design alterations mentioned above. It rides on 20-inch wheels and mandates the two-liter engine.

The X70 Plus starts from 90,000 Yuan on its domestic market, while the Zhuge will set buyers back 142,000 Yuan before options.
