An exotic Lamborghini Centenario roadster from a production run of just 20 units will be up for auction in Paris on January 31. Having just 71 km (44 miles) on the counter, it can fetch between €3 and €4 million.
The Italian supercar maker introduced the Centenario coupe in 2016, capping its production volume at the same 20 units. The roadster modification arrived later (see video).
The car utilizes the same carbon-fiber monocoque as the Aventador and the same 6.5-liter V12 engine. It does benefit from a 20-horsepower boost, sending 770 PS (759 hp / 566 kW) to the wheels. It reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in less than three seconds and can ultimately attain 350 km/h (217 mph).
Lamborghini said it had redesigned the entire bodywork for the roadster version using racing-grade aerodynamic components made from carbon fiber. It had also overhauled the cabin and implemented rear-wheel steering, making the Centenario the first Lamborghini in history capable of 4WS.
The example heading to auction was purchased in the spring of 2018 and has since stayed with one and the same owner. The listing claims it is the only car in the batch to feature a red-and-black body with a matching Alcantara trim inside.
