Lexus LX top hybrid spec revealed

Media first learned that Lexus was preparing a performance version of the LX in early 2020, and it is now reported that the car will get 487 PS (480 hp / 358 kW) out of its part-electric powertrain.

The ultimate spec will allegedly be called LX 750h and draw its power from a 3.5-liter V6 boosted to 487 PS (480 hp / 358 kW) and 871 Nm (642 lb-ft) of torque. The lineup will also include an LX 600, which will be capped at 415 PS (409 hp / 305 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque with the same six-cylinder engine. Both will go ten-speed automatic.

What remains unclear is whether the next-gen Lexus LX gets the 3.3L diesel option announced for the Land Cruiser 300 based on the same platform. What we do know is interior details: the company promises an advanced infotainment system like that of the new NX model, but with a display enlarged to 17 inches.

The premiere is penciled in for September 2021.
