Luxeed V9 range-extender MPV revealed ahead of launch

Luxeed, a Chinese car brand co-founded between Huawei and Chery, has been testing its V9 minivan on the roads since late 2025. It is expected to debut sometime this spring, but the first official images have already arrived.

According to the certification sheet, the V9 rides on a dedicated EV chassis known as the E0X-L and spans 5,359 mm (209.3 inches) bumper-to-bumper with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm (127 inches). It is 2,009 mm (78.5 inches) wide and 1,879 mm (73.4 inches tall). The exterior with its laconic front fascia and interconnected lights at both ends looks more or less than that of the marque’s two other vehicles, the R7 SUV and S7 sedan.

We still have no photos of the interior, but the company promises us a seven-seater with swiveling second-row seats and puddle lights in sliding doors. Some of the images also reveal what looks like an infotainment display with physical buttons underneath. There also seems to be a LiDAR above the windshield, a sure sign that Huawei ADS will be included in the base spec.

Power for the Luxeed V9 is provided by a 1.5-liter petrol engine boosted to 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW). Rather than driving the wheels, the mill generates electricity for electric motors on board, the quantity and parameters of which remain unknown. It’s already official that the minivan is rated for 1,250 km (777 miles) of extended range and can refill its battery quickly thanks to 800V power internals.

All prices are pending.
