The British automaker’s latest sports car has its sights set on the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as other endurance races.
Provisionally known as the Project: Endurance, the vehicle seen here is an LMDh-class hypercar running on a hybrid powertrain. All we know is that it has a twin-turbo V6 at its core; everything else is still a mystery.
McLaren reckons that the prototype should be ready for WEC racing in two years’ time. In the meantime, select V.I.P. customers of the brand will be invited to preorder it.
