Experience driving the Mercedes-AMG One from first-person perspective

Due to a production run limited to 275 units, most people will never get the chance to drive the Mercedes-AMG One. If you feel like you are missing out, watch this footage from the car being put through its paces at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The first thing that immediately comes to mind is that the AMG One has an amazing soundtrack. This is unsurprising, because its 1.6-liter V6 engine comes straight from Formula 1 and can rev up to 11,000 RPM, sending 574 PS (566 hp / 422 kW) to the wheels. Four electric motors assist it in various fashions: two drive the front axle, one drives the turbocharger and the remaining one assists the main engine. The combined power output is manufacturer-estimated at 1,063 PS (1,48 hp / 782 kW).

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya track has a straight line where the driver floors the pedal. The hypercar hits 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 2.9 seconds and doubles that acceleration in 7 seconds before maxing out at 352 km/h (218 mph).
