Geely announces pricing for its Radar Horizon pickup

Radar, a vehicle brand founded by Geely specifically for “trucks running on new energy sources”, has revealed the pricing for its Horizon model. It costs from 181,800 to 221,800 Yuan, which roughly corresponds to U.S. $25,000–30,500.

Compared to the Radar RD6 it is based upon (see video), the Horizon has four driven wheels by default. It is sized 5,260 x 1,900 x 1,880 mm large with 3,120 mm of space between the axles and a bed measuring 1,525 x 1,450 x 540 mm. The nominal bed volume is 1,200 liters.

Two electric motors drive the wheels with 428 PS (422 hp / 315 kW) and 594 Nm (438 lb-ft) of torque. The truck reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds and can accelerate to 190 km/h (118 mph). The standard battery size is 73 kWh, which is enough for 460 km (285 miles) of range according to the Chinese standard. Opting for a bigger 84-kWh pack extends the range to 520 km (323 miles).

On the off-road side of things, the Radar Horizon offers seven selectable drive presets and can wade water up to 815 mm (31.84 inches) high.
