JE Design teaches Cupra Formentor the basics of off-roading

The Formentor is a temperamental Spanish SUV that’s best suited for asphalt, but German tuners from JE Design rebuilt it into a convincing off-roader.

The package is called All-Terrain and comes with bolt-on fender flares, side skirts, a rear spoiler and protective lower bumper trims. With everything installed, the SUV does look like a weekend adventure rig.

It’s not all about the looks, either. The new 18-inch wheels offer beadlock protection, the track is wider thanks to a spacer kit on both axles, and grippy Yokohama tires ensure that you don’t get stuck easily. Perhaps most importantly, the ground clearance gains another 30 mm (1.2”).

Other options include a roof rack with a two-part LED bar and a quick-release rear diffuser. The tuning company doesn’t claim any aerodynamic improvements, but points out that it can be removed easily whenever you need to tow a trailer.

The Formentor All-Terrain seen here is a one-off project, but we’ve seen JE Design launch production of similar packages upon receiving enough pre-orders before, so be sure to contact them if interested.
