BMW designer shares a mystery teaser

BMW Design Director Domagoj Dukec has posted a teaser image previewing a still-unannounced vehicle set to debut this weekend.

The picture partially reveals a rear end of a presumably Targa-bodied car. The fans of the Bavarian marque are speculating that it could be a conceptual successor to the classic Z8 Roadster from 1999–2003, but that’s just a wild guess at this point.

We will hopefully learn more when the Concours d’Elegance opens at Villa d'Este near Lake Como in Italy this Friday, May 24. BMW unveiled its first-ever Z8 Roadster at the same event a quarter of a century ago, so it checks out.
