Trump invites German automakers to localize business in the U.S.

Donald Trump, who is running for president in the United States right now, shared his view on revitalizing the country’s automotive industry.

In particular, he pointed out that it would be nice for German automakers to open new factories in the US. He said he would be willing to cut on bureaucratic hassle while providing tax benefits and lower energy costs to all foreign car brands willing to bring their assembly lines to North America.

At the same time, Trump threatened companies importing cars from abroad – including Mexico – with 100% barrier fees and other protectionist measures.
