Nissan’s Nismo unveils Note Aura in Japan

The Nismo division of Nissan has worked its magic on the Note Aura hatchback, sporting up the single-motor version and cranking up the power on the dual-motor one. Prices start from ¥3,072,300.

On the outside, the Note Aura Nismo wears a special radiator grille said to improve cooling and drag resistance. It also features new bumpers and rear diffuser, as well as a body kit with red accents all around. The standard trim includes a power seat for the driver, and paying extra gets you Recaro buckets in the front row.

In stock, the Note Aura can be obtained with either one or two electric motors. The single-motor spec remains unchanged by Nismo, but the dual-motor one gets a solid performance boost. Its rear-axle motor goes from 68 PS (67 hp / 50 kW) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) of torque to 81 PS (80 hp / 60 kW) and 150 Nm (110 lb-ft). Nismo also fine-tunes the per-axle torque distribution logic to optimize handling in sharp curves and on slippery surfaces.

One last thing the announcement mentions is a set of 17-inch lightweight wheels, which is only obtainable for the AWD hatchback.
