2023 Nissan Sylphy bows in China

The Nissan Sylphy was originally designed for the domestic market of Japan, but dropped out of that market long, long ago. Its new home in China, where the fourth generation is on sale and enjoys a brisk demand. To keep the sales high, Dongfeng Nissan has decided to refresh the sedan somewhat.

The sales will begin soon, the company says. Compared to its predecessor featured in the video below, the facelift version sports new headlights, front bumper and radiator grille. Certain trim levels have been washed in chrome, which continues to trend in the region.

The part-electric Sylphy now has the same dash panel with three air vents as the petrol car. All modifications now ship with a 12.3-inch display offering a much more ergonomic UI with handy structured menus.

The petrol version of the sedan has 135 PS (133 hp / 99 kW) at its disposal. The e-Power hybrid is rated exactly one horsepower above that – 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW).
