Oilstainlab’s hypercar revealed with higher-than-expected specs

The Oilstainlab HF-11 will be offered in two versions: gas-powered with up to 1,200 PS (1,184 hp / 883 kW) and fully electric with 850 PS (838 hp / 625 kW). That’s a lot more power than the startup promised us last fall when announcing the model.

The entry-level spec will ship with a 4.6-liter six-cylinder engine rated at 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW). If you want twice as much power, consider its 5.0-liter counterpart, which Oilstainlab surprisingly lists as a six-cylinder engine, too. It was perhaps done to minimize the weight of the gas-powered car, which barely above 900 kilograms (2,000 pounds).

The company says both engines can rev up to 12,000 RPM and support two transmissions: six-speed manual and seven-speed sequential. The drive is on the rear axle in both cases.

No EV power, torque or battery data have been revealed so far. What we know is that the company plans to make the powertrain replaceable – swap one subframe out for another one, and you’ve got an EV, swap back and you’ve got an ICE car. That’s a unique feature – if it gets implemented, that is.

Oilstainlab says it hopes to begin production in 2026 and keep it down to 25 units at most. The prices announced last fall still apply: the ICE version starts from U.S. $1,850,000, and the ICE/EV swap version costs around $2,300,000.
