Homage To Green: There is only one such Peugeot 308 GT in the world

Italy-based Carrozzeria Castagna Milano is considered one of the world’s oldest coachbuilders, but the company does not intend to retire anytime soon. Its latest creation is this Peugeot 308 GT Castagna finished in two distinct shades of green, which debuted at the Milan Mobile Salon earlier this week.

The main exterior color is said to be that of the tree foliage, with pale matte green inserts on the fender flares, side sills and the rear end. The combination serves to highlight the sporty curves of the body and looks unexpected and refreshing at the tail-end with a slim light green strip directly below the tailgate.

The interior makes use of plentiful pale green suede juxtaposed against vivid green carbon inserts. Orange inserts, grey suede and dark brown leather complement the rather unusual aesthetic.

Carrozzeria Castagna was originally founded in 1849 as a builder of horse-drawn carriages. Its first work on a car was a Benz quadricycle. The workshop shut down business in 1954, but sprang to life again in late 1990s and is currently offering premium makeovers of compact vehicles.
