Marvel at this stunning Porsche 962 road racer

Porsche racecars have always scored high in motorsport events, a trend that culminated at the 1983 Le Mans race, which saw the final running order of ten positions occupied by nine Porsches. It is therefore completely unsurprising that the world still remembers the iconic 956 and 962 models.

Inspired by the success, the company had produced over a hundred of such vehicles, but never bothered to make any of them street-legal. Devoted fans took things over from here, building various road conversions over the years. For today, let us consider this wonderful example by Koenig.

The main goal of the project was to build a purebred road racer without sacrificing any of its signature traits and with as few modifications as possible. The undertaking was a great success, the result a car that look, felt and handled like a racer while having every prerequisite for a license plate.
