Tom Cruise’s Porsche 911 goes up on sale

A 35-year-old Porsche 911 Carrera Targa originally bought by Hollywood star actor Tom Cruise 1986 is currently available for grabs at Bring-a-Trailer in good overall condition.

Cruise purchased the car in the spring of in the spring of and sold it after less than a year of ownership. It then proceeded to change hands, with the latest owner having bought it nine years ago.

In 2020, the Targa underwent a complete overhaul including paint restoration, interior makeover with new leather, as well as revamped suspension, engine and transmission. The battery was also changed, leaving faulty AC the only major defect remaining to be fixed. After the maintenance, the car has covered less than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles).

The trim specification mentions Blaupunkt audio, cruise control and 16-inch Fuchs wheels wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact tires only two years old.

A 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine sends 230 PS (227 hp / 169 kW) to the rear through a five-speed manual transmission.

The odometer shows a touch over 8,800 miles (14,000+ km), but the seller admits it was replaced a while ago, leaving the actual total mileage unknown.

The current top bid amounts to $55,500 with a day still remaining.
