Porsche Macan EV presents interior

Porsche has shared some images showing the interior of its battery-powered Macan successor. The layout has several major differences from the petrol version. The Macan EV is expected to debut in early 2024.

As you can see, the dashboard is new and the transmission tunnel no longer has a gear lever on it. There are three displays on the dash including two 10.9-inch screens for the front passenger and the infotainment system and a larger 12.3-inch digital dash cluster. The front passenger can access navigation software and certain other infotainment features from their display too.

A projector-based HUD is also present, and Porsche describes its diagonal size as ‘class-leading’ without providing any further details. The electronics on board will be able to provide the driver with real-time hints and cues such as navigation directions and the distance to the next car.

An Android-based operating system will be used for the infotainment system, meaning that owners will be able to install and run a host of third-party apps including those of the various video streaming services.
