Ram bringing a cowboy’s truck to SEMA

Stellantis and Mopar have posted a second teaser pic previewing their main SEMA show vehicle: a Ram 1500 V8 Hemi with serious aftermarket mods slapped on.

It’s still a secret what the modifications are, but the car can be seen wearing a distinct Lime Green paint job setting it aside from all other Ram 1500 trucks around (check out the video for a stock example). It also flaunts a badge on a fender that the company calls “Symbol of Protest”. The ram-headed badge was created specifically to acknowledge the protests of the customers against the company’s earlier decision to retire eight-cylinder engines. Now that the decision has been reverted, all V8 Ram trucks will be wearing one, the company says.

Note also the cowboy hat graphic on the side mirror. We suppose that the truck may be designed in a Wild West aesthetic, but this brings us no closer to understanding the specific direction and mods. Mopar and Ram’s SEMA booth from the last year featured an off-road-focused Ram 1500 RHO equipped with numerous aftermarket accessories. This year’s theme remains to be revealed.

Aside from the truck, Mopar will be bringing a previously teased Dodge muscle car to the show in Las Vegas. The details are scarce, but everything hint that both Mopar and the Dodge/Ram brand duo want as much attention to their “V8 comeback” campaign as possible.
