Renault’s Mobilize subdivision has announced two compact electric vehicles called Duo and Bento. The former is a passenger car and the latter is a commercial microvan, but both run on the exact same tech and will be available only via subscription.
The Mobilize Duo sports Renault Twizy styling traits and comes close to that model in size, too. The main difference is that the Duo benefits from full-fledged doors made from glass panels.
Inside the cabin are two small PU foam seats and a miniature dashboard with no infotainment system whatsoever. There is at least a smartphone holder, though.
Propulsion comes courtesy of a single electric motor available in two power versions that remain to be revealed. All we know at this point is that the driving range tops out at just 140 kilometers (87 miles).
The Mobilize Bento is a single-seater with the rest of the cabin occupied by a cargo compartment with 700 liters (24.7 cubic feet) of available volume. The company advertises it as a last-mile delivery vehicle.
