Renault has unveiled a next-generation Twingo hatchback. It is still a concept at this time and has a single-space body design stylistically inspired by the 30-year-old first generation.
The car has five doors, flared wheel arches and a slanted windshield. The hood bears a recently updated brand badge. The interior remains to be shown, but we expect it to be the same as in the current generation (see video). This implies four seats, among other things.
Technical specifications are scarce at the moment. All we know is that it will go on sale purely as an EV and consume as little as 10 kilowatt-hours of power per 100 kilometers of driving.
Unconfirmed reports are coming in that the new Twingo is based on an architecture known as AmpR Small. Renault hasn’t commented so far.
