Rivian R1S reminisces about the ‘80s with a Miami livery

Rivian, a U.S.-based electric vehicle manufacturer and Tesla rival, has unveiled a rather stylish designer take on the R1S SUV. It channels the energy of Miami and celebrates the opening of the marque’s first Florida showroom.

According to the official announcement, the vehicle pays respect to the street art of Miami and its cultural influence. It does so by wearing a clean white livery tastefully adorned with black, light blue and pink accents. The front bumper is light blue with a black insert and pink towing hooks. The same scheme applies to the wheels and the interior, which is predominantly white with sparse pink accents and blue mats.

The base car is a sub-flagship spec powered by a trio of electric motors producing 862 PS (850 hp / 634 kW). Despite its considerable bulk, the R1S sprints from zero to 96.6 km/h (60 mph) in 2.9 seconds. Once full, it has roughly 600 km (373 miles) of range.

It is unknown whether the styling package will be available for purchase later or not.
