Car Tuning

The Seat Ateca All Terrain is a serious off-roader

We have been seeing more and more nice SUVs being converted into mediocre performance cars lately. In an effort to make the car as drivable on the highway as possible, tuners seldom think twice before reducing ride heights and stripping the cars of what precious few off-road capabilities they had to begin with. It is therefore a welcome departure from established tradition when someone, like JE Design, puts all the stakes on cross-country versatility instead.

The tuner came out with the All Terrain option package for the latest Seat Ateca SUV. Included are a 20 mm / 0.8-inch lift kit that costs €158, a set of 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in off-road tires (€1,999) that contribute another 10 mm (0.4 inches), and wider wheel arches (€3,094) that are required for the new wheels.

Further options include silvery roof panels (€650 front, €590 rear), a LED bar (€1,190), a rear spoiler (€417), aerodynamic strakes for the rear side windows (€179), and sill guards (€99).

JE Design will also boost the 2.0-liter diesel engine of the car from its original 190 hp (142 kW) and 400 Nm (295 pound-feet) of torque to 210 hp (157 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lbft). The power kit costs €1,690 and comes with tuner’s warranty.

Finally, Seat Ateca owners can now opt for a custom quad-pipe muffler made of stainless steel (€899).

The prices we quote here do include installation and painting costs.
