Cadillac has shared the latest teaser pics of its impending all-electric SUV, the Lyriq. One of these reveals what appears to be a large charging port concealed in the front left wheel arch behind a sliding door.
This leads us to assume that the company may want to store the charging cable there, freeing up some space in the frunk. Another pic shows intricately designed wheels with shiny inserts, likely made from carbon fiber.
There is little known about the EV to date, except that it comes based on a new electric car chassis designed by General Motors, packs an Ultium battery (sizes can reach 200 kWh), and offers Super Cruise autopilot tech.
The Cadillac Lyriq will celebrate its online debut on Friday, August 7, and enter production in the Detroit-Hamtramck factory, which will soon switch to producing electric cars only. Sales are expected to begin in 2021.
