This 550-HP 1967 Ford Mustang could be yours for $170,000

Few other cars sell as briskly as the Mustang, which has found over 100,000 new owners last year alone. Even so, many marque fans just prefer the classical ‘Stang – like the one on display here.

The car left the assembly line back in 1953 and has recently been restored. Its old engine was swapped out for a 7.0-liter V8 fitted with a Roush Performance supercharger. A five-speed Tremec manual transmission with a hydraulic coupling hits the wheels with around 550 hp (410 kW).

The suspension gets a thorough overhaul, too, landing with Rod and Custom shocks at the front end and Heidts ones in the back. Then there is a body kit of an uncertain origin and 18-inch American Racing Shelby Cobra wheels finished in chrome.

Inside the car are a DVD player, sat-nav, aluminum pedals and other modern niceties, although the overall impression is that of a mildly altered original look.

RK Motors asks for U.S. $170,000 for the car, and we suspect a buyer will be found soon.
