China-spec Skoda Octavia Pro details revealed

Here are some specifications of the stretched Skoda Octavia Pro model due out in China in the second quarter of the year.

Compared to the international version shown in the video, the Pro version is 64 mm longer and comes in at 4,753 mm long. Its wheelbase is 44 mm longer at 2,730 mm.

The new model shares its aggressive styling with the power-packed Octavia RS: note the redesigned bumpers, lights, twin tailpipes and new body colors (orange and violet). Features expected inside include a squared-off steering wheel, a large touchscreen display, and a sensor-based control panel.

The model will ship with turbocharged gasoline engines, initially a 1.4-liter unit mated to a DSG transmission for 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW). A 1.2-liter engine with 116 PS (115 hp / 86 kW) or so is expected to become available later. The old 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 113 PS (111 hp / 83 kW) will not be offered in China.
