2023 Maruti Suzuki S-Presso gets improved fuel economy

The new revision of the compact-sized Maruti Suzuki S-Presso SUV for India features a modified engine that enables it to conserve fuel at virtually no cost of power output.

The K10B one-liter, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated mill has been upgraded to a new version called K10C. A couple of added phase inverters and native start/stop system support let it consume less fuel while outputting 67 PS (66 hp / 49 kW) and 89 Nm (66 lb-ft) to the wheels, just a single horsepower and 1 Nm of torque less than the original.

Five-speed semi-auto versions now benefit from ESP, making them India’s cheapest vehicles to support electronic stabilization. But while opting for the ESP variant will set you back the equivalent of $7,060 USD in India, going for the entry spec with a manual gearbox will cost you mere $5,300.
