Tesla Cybertruck update brings along a hidden ‘Beast Mode’

It looks like the Cybertruck drivers will be able to sprint ridiculously fast using a new feature called Beast Mode, Carscoops reports. The new feature was found in a recent software update from Tesla along with some others.

It looks like the Beast Mode will be similar to the Plaid Mode of the Tesla Model S. Once activated, it briefly delivers peak power to the motors, letting the car launch 0-96.6 km/h (0-60 mph) in less than three seconds. Elon Musk had hinted at a similar capability of the Cybertruck before.

The same data leak suggests that the owners will be able to opt for BaseCamp, a bed-mounted camping tent. Further options on our list of expectations include solar panels mounted on the roof and the tonneau cover, as well as three wheel designs sized up to 20 inches large.

The first cars will be handed over to their owners later today, November 30, at a dedicated launch event. Stay tuned for the reveal of the Cybertruck itself.
