Corolla is Toyota’s one-size-fits-all product on the car market. In the UK, the company is actually even offering an LCV variant for those needing to transport small quantities of goods on a daily basis. It is basically a Corolla Touring Sports with the rear bench removed. It has now been updated for more power and safety.
The new drivetrain incorporates a 1.8-liter engine in a hybrid setup rated at 139 PS (137 hp / 102 kW). The car needs 9.4 seconds to go from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph), an improvement of 1.7 seconds over the old version.
Buyers will also know to appreciate an updated Toyota Safety Sense package with a wider-angle front camera and enhanced front-facing radar for early obstacle detection.
The LCV modification of the Corolla can carry up to 1,326 liters (46.83 cubic feet) of cargo weighing up to 425 kilograms (937 pounds), according to the spec sheet.
